HarmonyOS NEXT: Huawei Releases HarmonyOS 6 Developer Beta Phase 2
On July 30, 2025, Huawei officially launched Phase 2 of the HarmonyOS 6 Developer Beta program. This latest beta release introduces new features and tools designed to help developers improve app functionality and optimize performance on HarmonyOS 6.
Huawei had first announced HarmonyOS 6.0 Developer Preview during the HDC 2025 (Huawei Developer Conference) in June, along with the initial beta phase — which was limited to a small number of devices and participants.
Now, in this second phase, Huawei is expanding the list of supported devices and opening up registrations for more developers.

- Review Period: August 1 to August 25, 2025
- Who Can Apply: Verified developers only
✅ Developer Requirements
To apply for the HarmonyOS 6 Developer Beta Phase 2, developers must:
- Complete real-name verification via the Huawei Developer Alliance
- Own at least one eligible device from the list below
- Answer a brief questionnaire regarding the beta participation
Developers can register by logging into their Huawei Developer account, clicking the avatar icon in the top right corner, and following the on-screen instructions. Approved applicants will be notified via email or SMS.

- This beta is for developers only and intended for app testing purposes
- Installing the HarmonyOS 6.0 Developer Preview may erase existing data
- Always back up your data before proceeding with the installation
